We make a constant effort to create connections within our community. Recently, we hosted an Art Show Brunch in our Pembroke location, inviting local artists to display their work. The art show was the brainchild of Lucia Ventura, our manager in Pembroke, who, as an artist herself, wanted to host a new kind of event in the store. I spoke to Lucia and the artists to hear their perspective on this outstanding event.   How it came together   The idea came about when Rita Berkowitz, an artist and old friend of Lucia's, dropped by the store to buy furniture. Together, they came up with the idea of an art show, and the rest came together naturally. "It all fell right into place, and ...

This week, Anne Walsh, from our Middleton showroom, shares her favorite piece of the week: the Lisa sofa. "It's a really dignified, handsome sofa, I love the profile of it. It looks good from every angle." The Lisa is a shelter sofa with a high-back and is as cozy as it is aesthetically pleasing. It features nail head details and is available in a multitude of fabric options, pictured here in grey. There are also several wood finishes to choose from. Anne appreciates that the sofa frame sits well and is low maintenance.   We're passionate about supporting the local community, both by partnering with local businesses  and supporting local charities in any way we can. Today we're putting a spotlight on an organization we've been partnered with for over 20 years.   Save the Harbor/Save the Bay was founded in 1986. We've been working with them since 1996, and have since formed a long-lasting and mutually rewarding relationship. The Circle family feels strongly about restoring and protecting the Boston harbor, and we're proud to be aligned with an organization that cares equally about the beautiful city we live in.   Who are they?   We met with Bruce Berman, director of Strategy and Communications, to talk about our partnership with them and what the charity has accomplished. He describes, "Save ...

Catherine Willey, store manager and furniture fan in our Framingham showroom, has a new favorite from our product line up.   The Comfort Air Recliner, in particular, the Cirrus model. Catherine chose this as her pick of the week because of the unique comfort of the chair and the way it conforms to your individual seating style. "I was that kid who sat cross-legged everywhere, or with my legs hanging over the side of the furniture. Standard seats are not for me. The Comfort Air Recliner uses advanced foam technologies in combination with a very mobile and flexible body construction to create seating that's all about the user."     This chair can be paired with an ottoman, or not, and it swivels, ...

The merchandising team has returned from the Fall High Point Market in North Carolina with exciting new home decor trends. After visiting many showrooms, we found several common threads throughout. Here are some of the top trends we took away from this High Point Market visit.   Shades of blue   The first trend that was prevalent  throughout Market was the color blue. As far as shades of blue, they varied, but navy in particular dominated. Blue is soothing, calming, creating an oceanic feeling, whether seen on furniture, wall coverings, or artwork. It's an easy color to bring into the home and looks beautiful contrasted against warmer, orange tones as well as weaved into a cooler toned palette. Our Davis sofa, featured in ...
