Design Inspiration, Designers, Fun Report, Pick of the Week
This week, Alisha Simkhovich tells us about her pick of the week, the Luna Bedroom Collection from Wilton. She loves it so much she has a few of the pieces in her home! The Luna is available in several pieces of varying sizes, including a nightstand, a dresser, a gent’s chest, a sweater chest, and several media storage options. “What I love about the Luna is how incredibly beautiful the wood grain is. It really glistens in the light” She explains. “I also appreciate that it’s made right here in Massachusetts.” She describes, “It’s all natural cherry wood so it’s going to last a long time, and I love the walnut pulls, they’re really simple and classic.” Out of the collection, her favorite is the 6-drawer dresser which she has in…

This week, Gary Fisher, our Director of Sales, shares his pick of the week in the form of the ultimate cozy sofa: The Milford. “Who wouldn’t want to sit on this?” He asks. The sofa is available in multiple configurations, but he’s pictured on the Cuddle Chaise Sectional. “It’s exactly what it sounds like. The perfect spot to cuddle up with your pet, your spouse, your whole family.” A cuddle chaise is also a great option for those who can’t fit a traditional chaise. The sofa has a deep seat and a plush feel. “It’s the ultimate family sofa. I can almost guarantee kids will sit still on this.” The fabric, in particular, is one of Gary’s favorite aspects of the Milford. “It’s featured in a super chunky corduroy with…

Community Connections: Pembroke Art Show

Community Connections: Pembroke Art Show

Colorful Ideas, Community and Boston, Events and Fundraisers, Fun Report, General, Pick of the Week
We make a constant effort to create connections within our community. Recently, we hosted an Art Show Brunch in our Pembroke location, inviting local artists to display their work. The art show was the brainchild of Lucia Ventura, our manager in Pembroke, who, as an artist herself, wanted to host a new kind of event in the store. I spoke to Lucia and the artists to hear their perspective on this outstanding event. How it came together The idea came about when Rita Berkowitz, an artist and old friend of Lucia’s, dropped by the store to buy furniture. Together, they came up with the idea of an art show, and the rest came together naturally. “It all fell right into place, and all of the artists that I spoke to…

Designer’s Pick of the Week: Comfort Air Chair

Buzz, Design Inspiration, Designers, Fun Report, Pick of the Week
Catherine Willey, store manager and furniture fan in our Framingham showroom, has a new favorite from our product line up.  The Comfort Air Recliner, in particular, the Cirrus model. Catherine chose this as her pick of the week because of the unique comfort of the chair and the way it conforms to your individual seating style. “I was that kid who sat cross-legged everywhere, or with my legs hanging over the side of the furniture. Standard seats are not for me. The Comfort Air Recliner uses advanced foam technologies in combination with a very mobile and flexible body construction to create seating that's all about the user.” This chair can be paired with an ottoman, or not, and it swivels, glides, reclines, and rocks to move with your body. Its…

We’re passionate about supporting the local community, both by partnering with local businesses and supporting local charities in any way we can. Today we’re putting a spotlight on an organization we’ve been partnered with for over 20 years. Save the Harbor/Save the Bay was founded in 1986. We’ve been working with them since 1996, and have since formed a long-lasting and mutually rewarding relationship. The Circle family feels strongly about restoring and protecting the Boston harbor, and we’re proud to be aligned with an organization that cares equally about the beautiful city we live in. Who are they? We met with Bruce Berman, director of Strategy and Communications, to talk about our partnership with them and what the charity has accomplished. He described, “Save the Harbor was founded with a clear mission:…

I had the opportunity last week to journey up to Bradford, Vermont to attend Copeland Camp, a 2-day jam-packed instructional camp, hosted by Copeland Furniture Company. Copeland has been creating sustainably harvested hardwood furniture since the 70’s, and we’ve been working with them for nearly 4 decades. On deciding to work with Copeland, Peggy describes, "One of the most important things for me is the care they give to the environment and their desire to protect it for future generations. Tim Copeland was also a founding member of the sustainable furnishings council along with Circle, and one of the first winners of the Sage award given by the National Association of Manufacturers back in 2008."   Copeland Furniture Company Copeland Furniture has many attributes, they’re known for hardwood furniture, local…
